🦋⛓ Abolish ICE ⛓🦋

Immigrant families being separated by ICE (U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement) isn't new, but the recent children incarceration called attention to the overall immorality of the agency. What can we do about it?
This show is raising money for the Birmingham-based Shut Down Etowah campaign, which strives to close the Etowah County Detention Center in Gadsden, AL, due to its cruel treatment of prisoners and ICE detainees.
You can learn more about the campaign here.

In the last 18 months, Buddhist mobs have terrorized Muslims throughout Burma. More than 200 Muslims have been killed and mosques, homes and businesses have been burned, all while the authorities turned a blind eye. Today, almost 150,000 Rohingya are trapped in unsanitary refugee camps, living in tents, with not much food and not enough medicine.

More than half a million people have now arrived in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, from Myanmar since August 25. Of these, more than 1,500 children are separated from their parents or arrived unaccompanied.

We are raising funds to aid BRAC.

BRAC is one of the world's largest anti-poverty NGOs — with 115,000 employees in 12 countries offering some 138 million people services including education, micro-loans, job training and health care.
BRAC has reached more than 450,000 people living in settlements in Cox's Bazar.

Donations can be made directly to BRAC here: bracusa.org/southasiarecovery/

We know Birmingham wouldn't be as special of a place without the DIY spots we all call home. That's why we are supporting those most closely affected bc it could have been any of us in any of the places we love and we are all very fortunate to be cool and ok < 3
